At eight years of age, Pastor Kevin Humphrey was born again while attending the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina. During his teens, there were some rebellious years, but later a desire in him developed to know God more. Jesus Christ baptized Pastor Kevin in the Holy Spirit at the age of 23 while attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. There he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Through a Word of Faith magazine Pastor Kevin received the call to Rhema Bible Training Center and went there in 1984. He met his wife, Susan, at the Bible school. After they both graduated, they were married in the fall of 1986. They have two children, Jenessa and Grant. Both Pastor Kevin and Susan began to work at Abundant Life Church in many different capacities. In 1992 Pastor Kevin received the senior pastorate at Abundant Life Church and continues to serve the flock there under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology in 2000 and a Master of Arts in Theology in 2001 from Life Christian University. Pastor Kevin and Susan are members of Rhema Ministerial Association International and the Association of Faith Churches and Ministries.
